PETA-Approved Vegan

PETA-Approved Vegan is a logo that helps consumers identify vegan fashion without animal suffering. It is used to identify textiles that do not contain animal materials such as fur, leather, silk or wool. The certificate is used by more than 1,000 companies to highlight clothing, accessories, furniture and home decor made from vegan alternatives to animal materials such as leather, fur, silk and feathers. PETA Germany has been presenting the "Vegan Fashion Award" since 2013 as an award for labels and products that show that fashionable, innovative and sustainable clothing and accessories are also possible vegan.

Green Button

The Green Button is a government seal for sustainable textiles. It is the first seal to systematically check whether companies take responsibility for complying with human rights and environmental standards in their supply chains. For example, the seal prohibits the use of hazardous chemicals and plasticizers and sets binding limits for wastewater in production. As a government seal, the Green Button combines requirements for textiles and for the entire company for the first time. Only if the product and the company comply with all the requirements can the Green Button be awarded .

FairWear

The Fair Wear Foundation (FWF) is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to improving working conditions in the garment industry. FWF works with apparel brands, garment workers and industry leaders to improve working conditions in textile factories. FWF operates in eleven manufacturing countries around the world: Bangladesh, Bulgaria, China, India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Macedonia and Serbia, as well as Turkey and Romania. FWF has developed a code of conduct based on eight labor standards that member companies must adhere to. FWF also conducts independent audits and provides training and advice.

Blue Sign Partner

A bluesign® PARTNER is a company that is committed to the bluesign® SYSTEM and works with bluesign® APPROVED textiles . The bluesign® SYSTEM supports suppliers and manufacturers in their sustainable, resource-conserving production of clothing and textiles through on-site assessments and implementation of the bluesign® SYSTEM . The system primarily aims at resource conservation, minimizing environmental impact and workplace safety by avoiding substances in the textile industry that are hazardous to the environment and health . A bluesign® PARTNER can also be a bluesign® SYSTEM PARTNER who has committed to implement the bluesign® SYSTEM throughout its supply chain .

Blue Sign Product

A bluesign® PRODUCT is a product offered by brands that have committed to the bluesign® SYSTEM. A sustainable product of this type consists of at least 90% bluesign® APPROVED textiles and 30% bluesign® APPROVED accessories. The goal is to achieve components that are 100% bluesign certified. The bluesign® SYSTEM supports suppliers and manufacturers in their sustainable, resource-saving production of clothing and textiles through on-site assessments and implementation of the bluesign® SYSTEM. The GOTS is an internationally recognized standard and is used by many companies and organizations worldwide .

OEKO-TEX®

OEKO-TEX® is an independent testing and certification system for textiles at all stages of processing . The OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certificate certifies that a textile product has been tested for harmful substances and does not contain any substances that are hazardous to health . The standard sets limits for various harmful substances, including heavy metals, pesticides and formaldehyde . The OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 is an internationally recognized standard and is used by many companies and organizations worldwide .

The Cradle to Cradle Certified™ certificate is awarded to products that are evaluated in five categories: Material Health, Recyclability, Renewable Energy and Carbon Management, Water Management and Social Justice.
