Suitcases, rucksacks and bags
On city breaks, you’ll need luggage for the journey – a suitcase, trolley or travel bag – and a flexible option for exploring; a day rucksack is ideal for this. If you’re flying and have a suitcase that you can roll around easily, bear in mind that some countries may not have paved pavements like in Germany, which can make using a wheeled suitcase impractical; in that case, a rucksack might be the better choice.
