DDR VEB – Vintage Luggage Tag
This original luggage tag, manufactured in the GDR, is an interesting piece of everyday history. The luggage tag was made from split leather and was produced by a state-owned enterprise (DDR VEB).
The tag is suitable for labelling suitcases, travel bags and other luggage. Thanks to its simple, functional design and natural leather, it now possesses a distinctive vintage and retro character.
The luggage tag is unused and comes from old stock. However, due to the long period of storage, it is offered as second-hand. Accordingly, there may be slight signs of wear due to storage and age.

The abbreviation VEB stands for ‘Volkseigener Betrieb’ (People’s Enterprise) and referred to state-owned manufacturing enterprises in the GDR. This unused GDR luggage tag, made from split leather, is therefore not only a practical travel accessory but also a small piece of East German everyday life and design history.
